Designation: Business Development Manager
Job Summary: Business Development Manager’s task is to develop and diversify business so that
the future and growth of the organisation is guaranteed.
Broad Responsibilities/ Major Deliverables:
Take overall responsibility for management and growth of key accounts
Drive the sales, closure, implementation and harvesting process for multiple key accounts.
Researches and fully understands competitors- strengths/ weakness and product offerings/
Oversee implementations after initial closure and follow on leads have closed. Work closely
with partners to manage implementations
Closely manage day to day performance of key partnerships
Serves as a primary point of contact for key clients
Develops a comprehensive understanding of client needs based on the review and analysis
of personal and financial data gathered through the client and/ or additional information
Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and
ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business
growth, and customer and satisfaction.
Keeps clients informed of products, services, special promotions, and provides appropriate
solutions via consultative review and proactive contact.
Manage client relationship and ensure client satisfaction
Reports to: Managing Director / Director
Relationships: COO/ Operations Head/ Manager Operations/ Training /HR / Quality/ IT / Admin
Experience: Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred
4-6 years of account management experience across several lines of
Excellent sales and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
Able to develop and deliver effective presentations to various groups of people, including
senior management, internally and externally
Must have a confident and professional attitude
Be analytical and creative, and have the ability to research thoroughly in order to identify
opportunities and develop strategies that will add value to the business
